Rangers fans stunned by ‘unbelievable’ Steve Clarke decision
Rangers fans have been left stunned after Steve Clarke cut John Souttar from the Scotland national team ahead of Euro 2024.
Clarke has since explained that Souttar was left out due to fitness issues, but fans at Ibrox insist he still should have been named ahead of Grant Hanley.
Souttar has struggled at Rangers this season despite making 41 appearances across all competitions, starting just 21 of their 38 league games.
His nine Scotland caps, with the most recent coming in shaky performances in a 4-1 defeat against France and a 4-0 loss to the Netherlands.

Hanley, meanwhile, has been widely criticised by Rangers and Scotland supporters, with concerns over his role in the squad ahead of Souttar.
Supporters have labelled Clarke’s decision as “unbelievable”, “a scandal” and an “absolute joke”, with fans not happy with the selection.
One fan blamed Souttar’s absence on the fact he plays for Rangers, while another suggested Gers should let him go as he is clearly not good enough.
