Rangers fans stunned Dynamo Kyiv player wasn’t sent off as bust-up image drops

Rangers fans were left furious after Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Mykola Shaparenko didn’t receive a red card for grabbing Vaclav Cerny around the throat.

Shaparenko, 25, didn’t even receive a warning from the referee after he grabbed the throat of Rangers winger Cerny, 26 during a scuffle.

The Scottish giants were knocked out of the Champions League after losing 2-0 to the Ukrainian club in the second leg of their Champions League qualifier thanks in large part to some odd refereeing decisions.

To rub salt into the wounds, Brazilian winger Jefte, 20, was sent off for an innocuous challenge on a Dynamo defender.

Jefte simply out-jumps the defender to win the ball and the referee deems it enough to send the Brazilian off and subsequently ruin Rangers’ Champions League dreams.

Rangers fans left livid by referee

The Glasgow club now fall into the Europa League leaving arch-rivals Celtic as the only Scottish club in Europe’s premier club competition.

Fans took to social media to voice their frustrations.
