Rangers fans want Nico Raskin gone after unexpected news: ‘Imposter’, ‘Sell him’
Rangers fans want their club to sell Nico Raskin as soon as possible after a new report revealed that his contract actually runs for a year longer than it was thought to.
Rangers‘ poor season has been summed up by Nico Raskin‘s drop-off in performances from his previous lofty heights.
The Belgium international was a standout performer for the Gers last term as he notched 16 goal contributions in 48 appearances, but has not impressed as much this time around so far.
Raskin looked set to leave Rangers in the summer amid a standoff with then-boss Russell Martin, but he remained at Ibrox despite interest from Premier League clubs.
Football Insider recently revealed that Rangers plan to accept a big offer for Raskin in January if one comes in, which would seemingly appease their supporters despite the quality he possesses.

New report reveals Raskin’s contract expires in 2028 and not 2027
Raskin has not been as impressive or as influential at Rangers this season, with many believing that the club are set to sell him soon due to his contract being set to expire in 2027.
Despite his drop-off, Rangers Review reporter Joshua Barrie has now revealed, via X, that Raskin’s contract is actually up at Rangers in the summer of 2028, not 2027.
He did, in fact, sign a four-and-a-half year contract upon his arrival from Standard Liege in January 2023, and so there is no real pressure on the Glasgow giants to let him leave for a fee before he can depart for nothing soon.
Rangers are still expecting offers for Raskin in the new year, and his performances so far this term have seen many supporters urge the club to cash in following this new reveal.
Rangers fans want Raskin to be sold despite contract update
Raskin has felt the wrath of Rangers fans in the past, and his involvement in their struggles this season has made many believe that they may be better off without him in their squad.
Replying to the new update on his contract situation, one fan said: “He’s nowhere near the player he gets made out to be. Has one good game every few months and usually that’s for Belgium recently. Get him sold.”
Another fan said: “Brilliant. Hope he has a good rest of season then a really good world cup then get him punted.”
While one added: “(He) has not had a good season and the fees everyone was talking about in the summer were always fantasy-land nonsense. Hopefully he has a good World Cup and we can cash in for a decent fee (£12-15m or so) in the summer.”
