‘Rangers fans will feel hard done by’ as new Morelos transfer news emerges – Glasgow pundit

Frank McAvennie has claimed Rangers fans will feel “hard done by” if Alfredo Morelos leaves.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Celtic striker said he can’t put a price on Morelos because he is worth so little to the club.

The 26-year-old was back in the starting lineup for a Premiership fixture for the second time this season, replacing Antonio Colak.

As shown on Sky Sports (15 December), the striker scored what would prove to be the winning goal in the Gers’ 3-2 victory over Hibernian on Thursday (15 December).

The Colombia international is out of contract at the end of the season and could leave the club for free in the summer.

As quoted by the Daily Record (15 December), new boss Michael Beale said he gets on really well with the forward.

The manager is worried that the background noise surrounding Morelos’ future is getting too “big” and has urged the player to overlook it.

On 10 December, sources told this site that the Light Blues have failed to agree a new contract with the striker after he demanded £45,000-per-week.

McAvennie struggles to see Rangers making money on Morelos.

It is a shame because the Rangers supporters will feel hard done by,” he told Football Insider.

Rangers

They loved him. It is a shame to see him going that way. He is a good player when he is fit but I just could not put a price on him now.

His contract is up at the end of the season and they are not going to get anything off him.

In other news, an expert cited Connor Goldson as Rangers teammate told ‘he’s like a rabbit in the headlights’.
