Sorry Murty, your senior trio miss out on top spot in Rangers five best players of Banter Years

3. Wes Foderingham

Foderingham isn’t likely to ever be mentioned in the same breath as Rangers goalkeeping greats like Andy Goram, Chris Woods or Stefan Klos but the Englishman is a huge improvement on what came immediately before him in the form of Cammy Bell, Steve Simonsen and Lee Robinson.

Since arriving at Ibrox in 2015, Foderingham has been the undisputed number one and has made countless important saves for the Light Blues.

The former Swindon keeper still has his moments – like his blunder against Ayr in the Scottish Cup but is more than capable of helping the Light Blues to a title.

Foderingham has saw off competition from Bell, Maciej Gostomski and Matt Gilks and current number two Jak Alnwick isn’t much more likely to displace him than any of the others.
