Two 5-1 wins, neither make top spot in Rangers five best ever wins v Celtic
4. Rangers 5-1 Celtic – November 2000
Inspired by Barry Ferguson, Dick Advocaat’s side racked up their greatest win against Celtic since 1988 on a day that they had to win or see the title slip out of their grasp.
Ferguson opened the scoring for the Gers £12million man Tore Andre Flo delivered the crucial second goal on his debut after his move from Chelsea.
Michael Mols and Ronald de Boer also netted their first Old Firm goals in their first game against their city rivals while former captain Lorenzo Amoruso got the other with a great header.
The Light Blues were unplayable as they breathed new life into their flagging campaign but couldn’t stop the Hoops from snatching the title at the end of the season.
