Rangers picked up their biggest win over Celtic since 1960 as they smashed the defending champions and went on to lift the first of what would be nine titles in a row.

Goals from Wilkins, Ally McCoist, Kevin Drinkell and Mark Walters blitzed the Gers’ bitter rivals as Graeme Souness’ Ibrox revolution burst into life.

If only Rangers fans were to know what was about to come at Ibrox over the next decade.
