Rangers have ‘massive’ advantage as plot to sign Leeds star Crysencio Summerville reported – pundit
Alan Hutton has suggested Giovanni van Bronckhorst could prove a “massive” advantage for Rangers in trying to sign Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United.
The former Gers defender and Rangers TV pundit, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 20-year-old may want to reunite with his fellow countryman after their time at Feyenoord.
As reported by German news outlet Frankfurter Rundschau (10 April), Rangers are interested in signing Summerville this summer, with Hamburg also keen.

The Glasgow giants would reportedly be able to blow the Bundesliga 2 side away financially in a transfer battle.
Van Bronckhorst was Feyenoord manager when Summerville was coming through the Dutch side’s academy.
As such, Hutton the young winger may be receptive to a move to Ibrox this summer.
“He’s a talent, there’s no doubt about that,” Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“Obviously, coming through the Feyenoord academy, you’d like to think Giovanni van Bronckhorst will know what he’s capable of.
“He’s only 20, he’s technically good as I think all Dutch players are, they are very technically good. There’s an opportunity there.
“However, you look at the likes of Amad Diallo coming up. He has really struggled. It’s not as easy as what everybody may think. He’d have to come up and work really hard.
“But I think when you’ve got a manager there that probably understands you as a player, knows how you play, it’s always a massive attraction to go and play there. He knows you.
“I think it could be a decent fit. We’ll have to wait and see.”
Summerville joined Leeds from Feyenoord in 2020 and has a year left on his contract.
He has played nine times for the Whites so far.
