Rangers must swoop for 22-year-old impressing in top flight with relegation battlers

Dundee midfielder Glenn Kamara has done a fantastic job this season for Neil McCann’s struggling side – and the 22-year-old’s performances since his move from Arsenal should see the Gers make a move for the Finn.

Kamara joined the Dens Park side on a two-year deal last summer and has made 41 appearances for the Dark Blues but is someone that opposition fans regularly come away from games raving about.

The Finnish Under-21 international has flown under the radar at Dundee this season but put in another impressive performance at Ibrox on Saturday – despite his side eventually crumbling to a 4-0 defeat to leave them firmly in the relegation battle.

Kamara used the ball really well and looks to be a strong, confident midfielder who could add something to the Gers’ squad next season.

With a year left on his Dundee contract, there is not a lot of wiggle room for Neil McCann’s side if the Light Blues do make a move for the former Arsenal youngster in the summer.

A move for Kamara would almost certainly mean one – or more – of the Gers’ many midfielders being moved on in the summer, although exits for the likes of Andy Halliday, Jason Holt and Jordan Rossiter are not exactly something the Gers faithful would have much, if any, opposition to.

At only 22, the midfielder can still get much better and has shown enough in his performances for the Gers to be a better alternative target than the likes of Kilmarnock’s Youssouf Mulumbu.

In other Rangers news, Celtic are in the running to sign this former Light Blues player in a shock summer transfer.
