Rangers news: Agbonlahor calls for SFA intervention after ‘very strange’ update in Celtic row
The Scottish FA should intervene and ensure away fans are allowed at future games between Celtic and Rangers, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward claimed it was “very strange” that the clubs were allowed to decide away allocations.
There have been no away fans in either of the first two Old Firm fixtures in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Rangers managing director Stewart Robertson told Sky Sports earlier this month (15 February) there will be away fans at the remaining two Old Firm fixtures of the season.
Celtic hit back via Twitter last Thursday (17 February) and claimed they will determine the allocation for the next game at Parkhead and will communicate their decision at the appropriate time.
“I think it’s something that shouldn’t be decided by the clubs,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“I think that is something that should be decided by the Scottish FA and the clubs shouldn’t even have a say in it.
“It’s very strange that they are letting the clubs decide because there should always be away fans at games. If you’re the away team you should be able to go and celebrate with your fans.
“Very strange. I’m 100 per cent sure it’s something the Scottish FA should come in and sort out because it’s very odd.”

Celtic won the last Old Firm game 3-0 at Parkhead earlier this month (2 February) thanks to goals from Reo Hatate and Leil Abada.
It was their first win over their fierce local rivals since a 1-0 victory in the 2019 League Cup final and ended a winless run of seven games.
