Rangers news: Agbonlahor predicts winner as Erling Haaland video emerges – pundit
Gabby Agbonlahor has backed Borussia Dortmund to overcome their first-leg deficit and progress past Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday night (24 February).
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Dortmund have the talent to beat Rangers even without Erling Haaland.
The striker was not in the squad last week (17 February) as the Gers recorded a historic 4-2 win at the Westfalenstadion.
As relayed in a video by Football Daily today (23 February), Haaland had not travelled with his teammates for the clash at Ibrox.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst revealed today, via club media, that his only fresh injury concern is Aaron Ramsey who will not be available for the visit of the German giants.
Asked whether he thought Rangers were favourites to progress to the round of 16, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “No.
“Dortmund will be relying on this competition, they will think they can win it.
“It’s only a two-goal deficit and they’ve got the talent to get back into the game.
“Rangers have got to be exactly the same team that played in the away elg.
“It’s going to be an entertaining game but I still think Dortmund are the favourites.

“Even without Haaland, they’ve got top, top players in there. Look at Reus, look at Bellingham these are the players that can make the difference.
“I still think Dortmund are the favourites but with that home advantage and Ibrox crowd hopefully that can get Rangers over the line. I want them to go through.”
In other news, Kieran Maguire has revealed Rangers can bridge an £11million Celtic divide thanks to their incredible Ibrox fans.
