Rangers now want to finalise Danilo deal after £6.5m bid twist – expert

Michael Beale is desperate to bring Feyenoord striker Danilo to Rangers this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers defender Alan Hutton is intrigued to see where Danilo would fit into the squad given the number of attacking options Beale has already added.

The Gers have already had a £4.5million bid rejected for the 24-year-old with the Dutch side believed to be demanding around £6.5m to part ways with their star attacker.

As quoted by The Sun (18 July), Beale insisted conversations between the clubs are continuing and the Light Blues are pushing to get a deal over the line.

The Gers have already added Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers to their attacking ranks this summer.

When asked if another forward-thinking player is essential, Hutton told Football Insider:He obviously thinks so.

When I look at the squad I think they look quite heavy in the attacking side of things. He obviously feels that he needs those options.

I think everywhere else they are relatively strong. Maybe he feels with a long hard season, especially when we saw what happened towards the end of last season, that he needs those different options.

I am interested to see how they all fit in, to see what formation they are going to play and see what he wants from his attackers.

The Danilo one will be interesting because if they spend that kind of money he is coming in as a starter so where does he fit into these plans? So it is going to be interesting.
