Tried to get forward and attack in support of Jamie Murphy and was the Gers’ biggest threat in the early stages.
Struggled at times to clear his lines defensively as Motherwell tried to overload the Gers time and again.
More than capable of being key to the Gers going forward but really needs to improve defensively in the coming months.
With Lee Wallace close to a return, John needs to step his performances up and make the left-back spot his own.
