Rangers player ratings v Ayr: First-team mainstay 5/10 in comfortable win
MIDFIELD
SEAN GOSS – 8
Controlled the game from the middle of the park. Ayr couldn’t get close to him as his range of passing caused the second division side all kinds of problems. Is already proving to be a very good signing.
GREG DOCHERTY – 6
Played mostly on the fringes of the game, didn’t cause Ayr as many problems as some of his team-mates did but was still a threat at times.
JOSH WINDASS – 8
Kept up his excellent run of form with another two goals, can be a very frustrating player but you can’t complain about his goalscoring abilities at the moment.

JAMIE MURPHY – 7
Will be delighted to have scored his first goal for the Ibrox side, flitted in an out of the game at times but was still able to cause Ayr problems when on the ball.
