Solid defensively again from Bates but most of his defensive work came as the result of his own poor passing.
Former Raith Rovers defender has done well since coming back into the side but really needs to work on his distribution or stop trying to shell long balls into the channels.
Constantly showed for the ball however and never hid despite regularly giving possession away and didn’t look fazed by the unique surroundings of Bellslea Park on a January night.
Lacked a little bit of composure without a Russell Martin or Bruno Alves – or even Danny Wilson – to talk him through the game.
