Used the ball sensibly and looked to keep his nose clean after picking up his third red card of the season in midweek.
Linked well with Holt in the middle of the park as Rangers controlled possession for long spells.
If he can keep out of trouble – not all of which has been his fault – he could form a formidable midfield pairing with Holt.
