Worked hard down the left but little came off for the Welshman.
Tested more defensively than he has been in recent games and came off second-best a few times.
With Lee Wallace coming back to fitness, John needs to really step up his performances and really show why he deserves the jersey in coming games.
With his contract up at the end of the season, his form between now and then could be career-changing.
