Rangers player ratings v Motherwell: Senior player 3/10 in woeful loss
By James Black
Motherwell have booked their place in the Scottish League Cup final after a 2-0 win over Rangers at Hampden Park on Sunday.
Two goals from Louis Moult were enough for Stephen Robinson’s side as they came out on top in a fiery clash at the national stadium.
Both managers were sent off and both sides could have finished with 10 men amid one of the most controversial refereeing performances you’re ever likely to see.
Steven MacLean missed fouls galore, ignored head injuries and baffled both sets of fans with a series of contentious decisions.
Caixinha’s side were nowhere near good enough against Motherwell and Caixinha will need to lift them ahead of Wednesday’s Scottish Premiership clash with Kilmarnock.
The win now means Motherwell will face Celtic in next month’s final at Hampden.
