Won almost every header he contested and marshalled the Gers’ back four well as they snuffed out any threat posed by the Steelmen.
Captain in the absence of Lee Wallace and given his recent injury history will almost certainly be wrapped in cotton wool between now and Saturday.
Arguably enjoyed his best form alongside Danny Wilson and looks to be a more promising partnership defensively than Alves and Fabio Cardoso.
