Rangers player ratings v Kilmarnock: Duo 5/10 after horror show

COMMENT

Rangers passed up on the opportunity to draw level on points with Derek McInnes’ Aberdeen after falling to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Gers took the led through Declan John before a second-half double from Kris Boyd turned the scoreline on its head and kept the three points in Ayrshire.

Graeme Murty took charge of the side for the first time since being confirmed as Rangers manager until the end of the season.

The Gers were poor throughout the game against Steve Clarke’s side and had goalkeeper Wes Foderingham to thank for only conceding two.

The result was Rangers eight defeat in all competitions this season and almost certainly puts the final nail in the coffin of any title hopes the Gers may have still held.

Rangers have lost both of their last two games with fixtures against Motherwell and Celtic before the end of the year.
