Strolled through the opening 45 alongside David Bates as the Light Blues raced in front and looked to kill the game off early.
32-year-old will have much busier nights than he did against St. Johnstone as the Light Blues cruised to an easy win against the Perth side but should have done better at the host’s goal.
Moved to right-back late on as Alves came off the bench to replace Murphy.
