Solid enough showing from Bates alongside Fabio Cardoso at the heart of the Rangers defence.
Dealt well with everything Atletico Mineiro threw at them although gave the ball away cheaply a couple of times.
Former Raith defender could be set to earn a new contract and didn’t look out-of-place at all.
Organised the defence well despite being the ‘rookie’ in the back four although could have cost Rangers late on with a few lapses in concentration.
