Rangers star Alfredo Morelos is ‘overweight’ and clubs don’t even want him on a free – Glasgow pundit
Frank McAvennie has suggested Alfredo Morelos is “looking for” a free transfer as he runs down his Rangers contract.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Celtic striker urged Morelos to “be careful” not to end up somewhere below his level.
The 26-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of the season and he has not reached an agreement with the Gers over a new contract and is set to be a free agent in the summer.

On 19 February, sources told this site that Spanish, Italian and Turkish clubs have registered their interest in the striker ahead of the summer window.
The Light Blues are preparing for numerous offers for the Colombian in the summer but have not given up hope of securing him to a new deal.
Morelos has also privately not ruled out signing an extension with the Glasgow club.
But when asked if Morelos is holding out for a free trasnfer in the summer, McAvennie told Football Insider: “That is what he is looking for.
“I do not know what club he would get. He is back in the team now, Michael Beale seems to like him. I still think he is overweight but every game he plays he will get fitter.
“I think he has got a purpose now. There is no doubting that he has got ability. But if you were buying him you would say ‘he does not do enough for me’.

“A fit Morelos is a danger, the one that we have got now, he will still score goals but I do not know who would buy him. But a fit Morelos, people would take a chance on him.
“He is going to have to be careful because if he is not doing it for Rangers nobody will take him for free. He is going to end up somewhere that is not as good as he should be. But that is his problem.“
In other news, according to sources, Rangers ready to accept offer as overhaul begins.
