Rangers tipped to green light two more senior exits after deal agreed – expert

Rangers still need to sell two more players this summer following Antonio Colak’s departure.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers defender Alan Hutton said Scott Wright and Glen Kamara could both be leaving Ibrox in the coming weeks.

The Light Blues confirmed (15 July) that Colak has joined Parma on a three-year deal, just 12 months after his arrival in Glasgow.

Earlier this month (4 July), Football Insider revealed that Steven Gerrard is eyeing up Wright after taking over at Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq.

The 25-year-old still has two years remaining on his Ibrox contract but has struggled for game time in recent seasons.

Kamara, who did not travel to Germany with the rest of his teammates for pre-season, has also been attracting interest this summer.

The Finland international’s deal also runs until 2025 after joining from Dundee in 2019 for around £500,000.

Kamara had fallen out of favour under previous boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst but enjoyed slightly more game time after Michael Beale’s return to Ibrox.

Hutton insisted Colak’s departure won’t be the last this summer.

To continue this rebuild I think they are going to have to sell one, two, maybe even three players,” he told Football Insider.

“Then try and reinvest that money back into the playing squad.

Perhaps the likes of Scott Wright and Kamara could move on.

They have spent money so far so to continue it I think they need to sell a few.
