Rangers tipped to sell Joe Aribo for £11.7m profit after ‘superb work’ – Hutton
Rangers will be “happy” to sell Joe Aribo for “around £12million” this summer, according to Alan Hutton.
The former Gers defender and Rangers TV pundit, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested a move for the 25-year-old would be “best for both parties” with the midfielder “wanting to play at a higher level”.
This site first revealed last October that Premier League outfit Crystal Palace are among the clubs keeping tabs on Nigeria international Aribo.
An Ibrox source has told Football Insider that Rangers will demand a £10million-plus transfer fee for Aribo, who is out of contract in 2023.
Hutton suggested the Glasgow giants will reinvest any transfer fee into the squad this summer.
“I think everybody wants top-dollar,” he told Football Insider‘s Russell Edge.
“Rangers signed him for £300,000 so to get around £12million would be good business.
“He’s done superb work at the club and he’s elevated them to the next level – and his game has gone to the next level as a result.
“He’s burst on to the European and international scene during his time at the club.
“Every player at the club will have a value. If they can get around £10-12million for Aribo, they’ll be happy to take it and reinvest that into the squad.
“They’re in a good place right now. Obviously, I don’t want him to go, but that’s football.
“He wants to play at a higher level and his contract is running down – it could be best for both parties.”

Aribo has made 36 Rangers appearances this term, scoring six and assisting six.
The Ibrox club paid Charlton a reported £300,000 compensation fee after prising him from the English club after his contract expired.
In other news, Scottish pundit can’t believe Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s treatment of Rangers’ “best player”.
