Rangers tipped to sign Gareth Bale on bargain wages after transfer update – pundit
Gabby Agbonlahor “can see” Gareth Bale signing for Rangers on low wages in the summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker suggested a short-term deal to keep Bale “ticking over” for the World Cup would suit both club and player.
The 32-year-old looks certain to end his nine-year association with Real Madrid when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Spanish outlet Sport reported earlier this month (14 April) Rangers are one of a number of teams interested in signing Bale on a free.
His future is dependent on Wales’ bid to qualify for the World Cup.
Rob Page’s side will face the one of Scotland or Ukraine on 5 June for a place in group B for this year’s tournament in Qatar.
“I can see it, definitely,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Gareth Bale would come to Rangers and not expect much in wages. He’ll just be happy to keep himself ticking over, keep himself fit for Wales and then after the World Cup he can retire.
“Maybe just six month deal with Rangers. I reckon it would suit both the club and Gareth Bale.
“It all depends on whether he knocks Scotland out of the qualifiers. That will be an interesting game potentially.”

As quoted by footballscotland last month (24 March) Bale revealed his international teammate Aaron Ramsey had given Rangers a glowing recommendation.
Ramsey is on loan at Ibrox from Juventus until the end of the current campaign.
In other news, Rangers have told a player who signed a new contract last year to find a new club.
