Rangers told to accept Glen Kamara bid after source’s update – pundit

Frank McAvennie has insisted Rangers will need to be willing to accept less than £10million for Glen Kamara.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Celtic striker claimed nobody will pay £10m for the 26-year-old given his lack of game time.

Kamara has only started two Premiership games for the Gers so far this season.

On Sunday (25 September), sources told this site that Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side are willing to sell the Finland international in January.

The midfielder had been linked with a move to Nice this summer, but the deal ultimately fell through.

The Light Blues value Kamara highly and believe he could bring in a £10m plus fee.

His current Ibrox deal runs out in 2025 after he agreed a new contract last September.

When asked if the Bears will have to be willing to accept less than the asking price, McAvennie told Football Insider: “Definitely.

Nobody is going to come in for £10million. He was a good player when he was a mainstay in the team but he’s not getting a game now.

Rangers

You can’t expect him to go for £10m if he’s not being played, that’s what anyone who wants to buy him will be saying. It’s the same as [Ryan] Kent and [Alfredo] Morelos, their value has gone down because they’re not doing it week in week out.

That’ll be a concern for Gio, he’ll be telling him he’s got to do more because he’s a talent but if he doesn’t do it nobody’s going to pay £10m for him.
