Rangers told to blow the budget on Alfredo Morelos replacement after source’s new reveal – Agbonlahor
Rangers should blow their budget on a new striker to replace Alfredo Morelos, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted teams get judged on their strikers and Rangers need a new one.
Sources told Football Insider earlier this month (10 December) that the Ibrox giants have failed to agree a new deal with Morelos because he is demanding £45,000-a-week.

The 26-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and is free to negotiate a pre-contract deal with foreign clubs from 1 January.
As quoted by Sky Sports last week (15 December), Michael Beale insisted the striker does not hold all the cards in negotiations but he hopes his relationship with Morelos will help the club.
The Scotland striker is out of contract in the summer but Sunderland have the option to extend his deal by a further 12 months.
Asked whether Rangers can afford to spend £10million on a striker, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “They need to.
“Teams get judged on their strikers. If you’ve got a striker who is not banging in goals it’s going to affect you.
“I think Rangers should be using most of their budget on a top striker who can bang in the goals to get them where they need to go.”

Antonio Colak is Rangers’ leading scorer this season with 14 goals in 24 games across all competitions in the first part of the campaign.
The 29-year-old has not featured in Beale’s first two games in charge as he is out with a calf strain.
In other news, Rangers have set their sights on signing a World Cup star.
