Rangers told to pull the plug on Abdallah Sima deal – fans react

Rangers fans have told the club they should walk away from a deal to sign Abdallah Sima after the latest update on his future at Brighton.

The Rangers Review reported that Brighton will wait for their new manager to assess the squad before allowing Sima, 22, to leave the club this summer.

The Senegalese winger spent last season on loan at Ibrox, where he scored 16 goals in 39 games before he suffered a serious injury, forcing him to miss 13 games before suffering another blow in April.

Before his injury, the overwhelming opinion of the fans was that Sima was an integral part of Philippe Clement’s side, but recent blows have led some to question his availability.

Football Insider revealed in April that Brighton are willing to accept a bid in the region of £6million for Sima, a fee which many think could price Rangers out of a deal.

Rangers fans warn against Abdallah Sima transfer after new twist

Sima quickly established himself as a fan favourite at Ibrox, but his impressive performances and form led to an increased price tag which may prove unreachable.

Many fans have squashed the idea that Sima could return to Ibrox next season, whether due to his transfer fee or injury history, while others warned against signing him.

Some, however, remained hopeful of a return.

In other news, Rangers fans were stunned by Steve Clarke’s latest decision.
