Rangers told to secure new Goldson deal after source's update - pundit
Connor Goldson fully deserves a new Rangers contract, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England defender told the Ibrox outfit to sort Goldson’s situation soon with his current deal set to expire in 2022.
Football Insider revealed at the beginning of July that Rangers are confident of tying the 28-year-old to a new contract.
It is understood a three-year deal was almost agreed in April before negotiations stalled.

Goldson did not miss a minute of the Scottish Premiership season as Rangers secured a historic 55th title.
The Englishman made an impressive 55 appearances across all competitions as the Gers also reached the Europa League Round of 16.
Asked whether Rangers should tie Goldson down as soon as possible, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Yes, he deserves it.
“He’s been outstanding, a colossus at the back. Definitely, he should be rewarded.
“He’s a leader, the captain when James Tavernier is not playing.
“So he should be given a new contract, he deserves it.”
Goldson moved to Ibrox from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion in June 2018 for an undisclosed fee.
He has scored 16 times and provided five assists in 162 appearances across all competitions for the Glasgow giants.
