Rangers transfer news: Sam Lammers undergoing medical today after seven-figure bid accepted – sources
Sam Lammers is undergoing a Rangers medical today, sources have told Football Insider.
Terms have been agreed over a contract running until 2027.
A deal for the striker has been agreed for £3million and Atalanta have accepted the bid as Lammers closes in on a move to Ibrox.
On Tuesday (13 June), Football Insider revealed that the Gers were finalising a deal for the 26-year-old.
Now the striker is set to undergo a medical at Ibrox and put the finishing touches on a move that sees him become Michael Beale’s fourth summer signing.
Lammers has been out of favour at Italian side Atalanta and has spent most of his time there out on loan, most recently at fellow Serie A side Sampdoria where he netted one goal in 20 appearances.
Light Blues boss Beale views Lammers as a perfect successor to Alfredo Morelos who leaves the club following the expiration of his contract.
The arrival of Lammers hasn’t put Beale off adding another figure up front and Football Insider revealed (12 June) that the Glasgow club are pursuing a deal for Cyriel Dessers and have begun talks with the forward.

The imminent arrival of Lammers, and potential arrival of Dessers or another striker, has thrown current number nine Antonio Colak’s future into doubt.
Football Insider has learned that the arrival of two forwards could force the club to sell Colak this summer to make room for the new arrivals.
In other news, Rangers are in advanced talks to agree four deals in stunning blitz.
