Rangers TV man: Beale has found the perfect No10 to replace Ryan Kent
Alan Hutton has claimed Alex Lowry could replace Ryan Kent at Rangers.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers defender urged Lowry to take the chance when he is given it.
As quoted by the Herald (14 December), Michael Beale said the 19-year-old is at a stage where he can make a “breakthrough” into the first team.
The Light Blues already have Ryan Kent in Lowry’s position but his contract is up at the end of the season and there is growing uncertainty surrounding his future.
On 1 October, this site revealed that Kent has rejected a new ‘big-money’ contract offer as he sets his sights on a move to the Premier League.
Lowry has made one competitive appearance for the Bears this season and feature in the friendly against Bayer Leverkusen on 10 December.
Hutton backed Lowry to feature for the first team in the second half of the season
“I think he is definitely ready,” he told Football Insider.
“The injury came at a bad time for him but he came on against Leverkusen and he played that number 10 role. Mick Beale has changed the formation slightly to have a number 10 and two strikers so I think that would be his best position.

“He can see a pass, open the door for low block defences. So I am hoping that we do see him more but it is about taking the chance when he is given it.
“There is still the likes of Tom Lawrence to come back, Ryan Kent is playing in there. So it is going to be difficult but he has got the ability.“
