Mainstay must be axed: Three things we learned from Rangers win against St Johnstone
Morelos not scoring isn’t helping Herrera either
Alfredo Morelos’ mini goal-drought continued against St. Johnstone on Friday night – but the Colombian’s lack of goals won’t be helping fellow striker Eduardo Herrera either.
Morelos hasn’t scored in four games after grabbing eight goals in his first nine games.
The Colombian has shown he can be clinical in-front of goal but has found clear-cut chances in short supply.
Herrera, meanwhile, has found himself restricted to brief cameo appearances from the bench as his team-mate struggles to find the net.
Caixinha has been bringing Herrera on for Morelos and the longer Morelos goes without a goal, the less willing Caixinha appears to be to subsitute Morelos.
He may choose to start Herrera soon but unless he does – or Morelos starts scoring again – he’s going to find minutes hard to come by
In other Rangers news, a £7.5million midfielder is firmly in the running to be the club’s next signing.
