The midfielder joined Rangers with a big reputation as a potential star but so far has shown little to justify that hype.
The former Accrington Stanley ace has been poor this season after struggling throughout last term.
Fans were willing to give Windass some more time with him being moved into a more attacking role in Caixinha’s side but it doesn’t seem to have changed anything.
Too often he vanishes from games and while ‘soccermetrics’ may paint a different picture, it’s impossible to argue that two goals in almost 18 months is an acceptable return from mainstay.
