Rangers have surely ruined any future chances of striking transfer deals with Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven.

For much of the summer window, it looked as though Couhaib Driouech would make the switch to Ibrox, only for a move to collapse.

It was claimed by sources in Scotland that the 24-year-old attacker's injury problem was far more severe than PSV were letting on.

The deal quickly unravelled, causing a divide between the two clubs, especially after footage was released of Driouech returning to the pitch just a few days later.

Understandably, it was a frustrating setback during the transfer window, given that the winger notched nine goals and eight assists in 2025-26.

Those at Ibrox appear to have put those issues behind them immediately, though, wanting to reopen talks with PSV over the signing of a different player.

Couhaib Driouech's teammate of interest to Rangers

According to AfricoFoot (20 August), the Gers are now interested in 23-year-old Adamo Nagalo, a talented, young centre-back.

He spent the second-half of last season on loan at Konyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig, making 13 appearances as the club finished mid-table.

Nagalo is back in the Netherlands now, but he could quickly be on the move again, with Derek McInnes' side really appreciating the player's profile.

However much the club might admire the defensive gem, though, the Gers have really backed themselves into a corner due to the collapsed Driouech deal.

It would be incredible if PSV agreed to do further business with the Glasgow giants. Realistically, it would be hard to blame them if they refused.

Who could Rangers sign late in the summer window?

After the news of Ben Godfrey's injury, it emerged that another centre-back was being prioritised.

Full-backs Kosta Nedeljkovic and James Penrice have been added to the squad, but no further centre-halves have arrived at Ibrox.

Instead, Mick Brown told Football Insider that Rangers could make a late swoop for Motherwell striker Tawanda Maswanhise.

Youssef Chermiti's season-ending injury has left McInnes without a huge option through the middle, so another striker is left wanting right now.
