Tottenham sensation Mikey Moore tipped to join Millwall by expert

Mikey Moore will leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer and could be a brilliant signing for Millwall.

That is the opinion of former Millwall goalkeeper and senior Tottenham scout, Bryan King, speaking exclusively to Football Insider.

The 18-year-old is expected to leave North London again this summer after spending last season on loan with Rangers.

Moore signed a new long-term contract last year and has been involved in pre-season for Tottenham, but will hope for more regular minutes elsewhere.

Roberto De Zerbi has been keen to strengthen this squad this summer and more attacking signings are expected to arrive, with a deal for Savinho in the works.

Moore could well join an exodus of youth at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which has already seen Luka Vuskovic and Will Lankshear leave.

Mikey Moore tipped for Millwall move

Last season saw Moore handed regular starts in senior football for the first time.

The winger initially struggled as Rangers did, but the second half of the season saw him find his feet and he was ultimately named young player of the season in Scotland.

Danny Rohl has since left Ibrox and been replaced by Derek McInnes, but it is likely that the chance to bring him back for another season will be jumped upon if it arises.

It remains to be seen what Tottenham's decision will be, but it has been suggested that Moore could benefit from a season in the Championship.

"I don't know what's happened to the boy Mikey Moore. You know, he'd be a good buy for a club like Millwall in the Championship," King told Football Insider.

"His family are Millwall supporters. You know, that could be a good stepping stone for him.

"He's done reasonably well at Rangers. But then I'm not sure whether you gets stretched every week in the Scottish Premier League. That's going to be a tough league this year, the Championship."

Roberto De Zerbi verdict raises Moore questions

Moore has been linked to several clubs this summer, with Borussia Dortmund among those open to signing him on loan.

Speaking last week De Zerbi said: "We have to analyse the last part of the transfer market, because we try to bring wingers, and then we speak with him, with his agent, with the club, to find the best solution for everyone."

Those comments have only further intensified links tipping Moore for a move away, but Tottenham must get their choice right.

Playing time is of the utmost importance but the means of the loaning club may well be considered, too, in case of an attempted future permanent move.
