Rangers fans were appalled to see that the club is looking to re-sign Jayden Meghoma this summer.

The Gers are reportedly in talks to bring back the Brentford youngster on loan before the transfer window closes.

If a deal can be agreed, the 20-year-old left-back could be back in the squad in time for their match against St Mirren in the League Cup on Sunday.

Meghoma made 29 appearances in the Scottish Premiership last season as the Old Firm side finished third, but rarely impressed on the field.

Therefore, with Rangers having an awful start to their new campaign, fans were not happy to see another potential poor signing come through the door.

So far, Derek McInnes has overseen two defeats and a draw in his three games in charge, with the pressure starting to mount on the new manager.

Rangers fans do not want Jayden Meghoma back at the club

Meghoma was far from brilliant at Rangers last season.

The full-back was largely inconsistent at the Gers and made numerous mistakes.

In fact, Danny Rohl chose to drop the defender towards the end of the campaign, with Meghoma only starting in one of the post-split fixtures.

Therefore, when Sky Sports reported that Rangers were looking to bring the youngster back to Ibrox this summer, fans were furious.

Many quickly took to X to blast the potential signing as “desperate” as the club looks to finally pick up a win this season.

Is Derek McInnes under pressure at Rangers?

Former Tottenham, Aston Villa and Everton scout Bryan King, exclusively told Football Insider that McInnes could soon find himself under pressure at Rangers.

The manager has already faced heavy criticism from sections of the fanbase for his team selections after two successive defeats.

The former Hearts boss was brought in to replace Danny Rohl this summer with the hope that he can finally guide Rangers to a league title.

Now, McInnes will have to get his side together quickly to face the Polish side in the second leg of their Europa League qualifier at Ibrox on Thursday, with the club 2-1 down on aggregate.
