‘Rasmus Hojlund loses Man United ally Mason Mount amid Chelsea complaints’
Rasmus Hojlund is having a tough time at Man United, and it seems as if his team-mates are losing faith in his ability to turn things around.
The Danish striker joined from Atalanta in the summer of 2023 for £72million, but has struggled to live up to his price tag.
Hojlund scored a respectable ten league goals in his first season, but has found the net just four times in the Premier League during the 2024/25 campaign.
The forward is simply not doing enough for Ruben Amorim, often halting promising attacks and passing up big opportunities.
There are now rumours that Man United are looking to sell Hojlund in the summer, in the hopes of cutting their losses before the situation worsens.

Hojlund loses trust with ‘shocking’ Chelsea performance
Football Insider described Hojlund’s display against Chelsea as “shocking”, with the striker receiving a 3/10 rating for his night’s work.
It seems that his United team-mates are starting to lose patience with the Dane, with multiple players visibly frustrated with him on the pitch.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News’ (17 May) Chief Man United reporter Samuel Luckhurst, Mason Mount was the only United player showing any warmth towards Hojlund, giving the striker an encouraging pat on the head.
However, when Mount was substituted, Hojlund was left to face the wrath of his less accommodating team-mates.
Luckhurst noted that Bruno Fernandes berated the forward on multiple occasions throughout the evening, and Amorim’s assistant Paulo Barreira was displeased with the 22-year-old at full-time.

Amorim has ‘no choice’ but to start Hojlund
Football Insider Verdict
Man United face Tottenham in the Europa League final, in what is a hugely important game for the Red Devils.
Not only will they receive some much-needed silverware, but Amorim’s side will also secure Champions League football for next season with a win – an achievement that would completely change the current trajectory of the club.
However, they will be forced to start Hojlund up front, with Joshua Zirkzee out for the rest of the season, and unable to play in the final.

The out-of-form Dane has performed slightly better in the Europa League, scoring six times and picking up two assists in the competition.
With no other options, United fans will be hoping that Hojlund can put in a performance that helps them clinch another European trophy.
If he does, his rocky start to life at Old Trafford may just be forgotten.
