Reece James, Nico Jackson react to Robert Sanchez’s Chelsea message after Man United

Reece James and Nicolas Jackson reacted to a message from Chelsea teammate Robert Sanchez on social media after beating Man United 1-0.

The race for Champions League football next season is going down to the wire, and Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Man United will be crucial for Enzo Maresca.

The Italian boss fell out with the fans earlier in the season over his style of football, but if he can lead the Blues back to UEFA’s premier competition, all will likely be forgiven.

Chelsea were without Jackson due to his red card against Newcastle, and his understudy, Tyrique George, struggled as a replacement.

But ultimately, a moment of genius from Reece James set up Marc Cucurella for the game’s only goal.

Robert Sanchez shares message to Chelsea fans after win

Following the win over United, Sanchez posted several images on Instagram from the match, captioned: “Cucu Cucurellaaaa. Massive +3 towards our goals!

“Onto the final game in our Premier League season. One team together.”

Celebrating Cucurella’s all-important goal with his message, James and Jackson liked the post, showing support for their teammate.

Robert Sanchez faces uncertain future at Chelsea

Sanchez has been a liability as the Blues’ shot-stopper this season, making five errors that have directly led to a goal, the joint-most in the Premier League.

Mike Penders is set to join Chelsea in the summer, whilst Djordje Petrovic has shown remarkable improvements during his time at Strasbourg.

Whilst Filip Jorgensen has been given some opportunities to prove himself this year, the Danish shot-stopper has been unremarkable at best.

Heading into the Club World Cup in June, it would be no surprise to see Maresca use all four goalkeepers to get a feel for who should be starting next season.

However, if they can find a suitor for the current number one, Chelsea are likely to accept a reasonable offer for Sanchez.
