Reiss Nelson sends heartfelt message after Arsenal exit announcement
Reiss Nelson sent a heartfelt message after an Arsenal exit was confirmed on social media.
The winger spent last season on loan at London rivals Fulham, but Nelson was ruled out midway through the campaign after suffering a hamstring tear.
Prior to suffering his injury, the on-loan winger made 12 appearances for the Cottagers, scoring twice and assisting once for Marco Silva‘s side.
Nelson had begun to show consistency, something that had eluded him for much of his career, whilst retaining the same game-changing dribbling abilities and directness that made him so coveted in the early stages of his time at Arsenal.
However, with seemingly no place left for him at the Emirates, the Hale End graduate is facing an uncertain future this summer.

Reiss Nelson sends message to Takehiro Tomiyasu
Takehiro Tomiyasu and Arsenal agreed to mutually terminate the Japanese defender’s contract after four injury-troubled years at the Emirates.
The former Bologna man made 84 appearances for the Gunners since joining in 2021, but appeared for just six minutes last season.
Nelson shared a post from Tomiyasu on his Instagram story with three love-heart emojis, showing support for his former teammate.

Fulham return on the cards for Reiss Nelson
Football Insider Verdict
The Athletic revealed in June that Fulham were interested in bringing Nelson back to Craven Cottage on a permanent deal.
However, it would be a surprise to see the Whites spend much money, if any at all, on the winger, given his recent injury history and Arsenal’s desire to get the 25-year-old’s wages off their books.
Nelson earns in the region of £100,000-a-week, a surprisingly high figure, given the former England Under-21 international has never really established himself as a clear-cut member of the Gunners’ starting XI.
In reality, there is little chance that Fulham will be willing to give those sorts of wages to the winger, making another loan, or some sort of contribution from Arsenal, a necessity.
However, for the sake of his career, a return to Craven Cottage would be the best thing for Nelson and the winger would be well advised to do all he can to make it happen.
