Report delivers Erik Lamela latest after Tottenham assessment
By Harry Sykes
Erik Lamela is unlikely to play again for Tottenham this season after being assessed by the club’s medical staff, according to a report.
The Mail is set to miss the remainder of the campaign as he shows no signs of recovering from the hip injury that has sidelined him since October.
It is said that Lamela is training alone at Spurs’ Enfield headquarters and there is still no date for him to return to full contact training.
The Argentina international was initially expected to be out for only a short period but his comeback has been continually delayed before he underwent a spell of rehab in Rome that ended in January.
Lamela has subsequently undergone a thorough assessment by Tottenham’s medical staff after a scan revealed no issues.
