Massive injury blow for Tottenham as star faces extensive tests – report

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose is continuing to undergo assessment on a persistent knee problem, according to a reports.
Both Sky Sports and Football.London state that the 27-year-old, who has been out of action since he last featured against Southampton on the 26th December, will require further checks after already being assessed by the Tottenham medical team.
News that further assessment of the issue is needed will undoubtedly come as a blow to Spurs and Rose himself after the left-back only made his return to the side in October’s Champions League clash against Real Madrid – after a ten-month injury lay-off.
It also comes at a time where rumours have been circulating, once more linking Rose with a move to the north-west – Manchester United believed to be the destination.
Rose has made just 11 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season in all competitions.
Tottenham face West Ham United at Wembley on Thursday in the Premier League and it is believed that the defender will not be fit to face the Hammers.
And neither will he be ready in time for FA Cup tie against to play against AFC Wimbledon on Sunday until Spurs’ medical staff can reveal the full extent of the injury.
