Report: Tottenham 27-year-old close to securing loan deal, set to miss out on CL

Tottenham flop Moussa Sissoko looks close to finalising a move to Trabzonspor after the club’s president stated he wanted to secure him in a loan deal.
The 27-year-old midfielder joined Spurs from Tyneside club Newcastle last summer for a staggering £30 million, but it looks as though his time is up already.
The Frenchman failed to live up to his hefty price tag and ended up starting just eight times for the north London club last season and was also left out of Mauricio Pochettino’s US pre-season tour squad this summer.
However, the Chronicle states that Pochettino is set to offload Sissoko to the Turkish outfit in a loan deal with an additional option to buy.
The newspaper quoted the Trabzonsport president Muharrem Usta who confirmed: “We are in talks with Moussa Sissoko.”
“He is a very important player, Tottenham paid £35 million for him,” Usta said in the Chronicle. “He didn’t live up to expectations last season but this can happen in football.”
Usta revealed that the club want to help his performance and restore his quality on the pitch.
“We want to loan him and get his career back on track,” the president explained. “Obviously Tottenham do not want to give up on a player they paid that kind of money for but we will see.”
Pochettino is yet to make a single singing this summer, and his inactivity in the transfer market will worry fans ahead of their Premier League opening match next weekend against Sissoko’s former club Newcastle.
