Revealed: Dean Henderson’s stance on quitting Crystal Palace for Tottenham
Dean Henderson has emerged among the leading candidates for Tottenham as they set their sights on signing a new goalkeeper this summer.
Tottenham are already preparing for life without Guglielmo Vicario, who has been heavily linked with a return to Italy with Juventus and Inter Milan interested.
Henderson has emerged as one of their top targets for the position thanks to his impressive displays under Oliver Glasner and as a key part of Crystal Palace‘s success.
However, as I explained on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, the England international is very happy at Palace and has no plans to leave.
He has recently been named the new club captain at Selhurst Park following Marc Guehi’s move to Man City, and the Eagles are extremely reluctant to let him go.

Dean Henderson unlikely to quit Crystal Palace
Former Spurs scout Mick Brown told Football Insider on 25 February that Henderson is on Tottenham’s list of targets as they prepare to lose Vicario.
Spurs’ recruitment team have been assessing a number of potential alternatives to the 29-year-old and believe the England international would be an upgrade.
However, they could be dealt a blow in their pursuit, with Henderson not considering a move away from Palace while he remains a crucial part of their plans.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “It would take a lot, no doubt about that. Dean Henderson is crucial to that Palace project going forward.
“He’s taken over the captaincy since the departure of Marc Guehi and really bought into that role.
“He obviously seems like he’s happy at the club as well. You see him, the way he celebrates wins and everything else that he does. Seemingly enjoying life at Crystal Palace.
“Got a great relationship with the supporters there as well, so I don’t think he’s got any intention of leaving the club any time soon.
“Dean Henderson would be somebody who could definitely go in and make an impact at Tottenham if they were to peruse their interest.
“But from a Palace point of view, I don’t see them letting him go easily. So it won’t be easy for Tottenham if they do plan to make a move for Henderson.“
Crystal Palace could block Tottenham’s Henderson move
Despite the growing interest in Henderson thanks to his performances at Selhurst Park, those displays have only made the Eagles more reluctant to let him go.
Football Insider revealed on 1 March that Crystal Palace will not sell Henderson this summer as he remains a crucial part of their long-term plans.
The Eagles have already lost Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze in the last two transfer windows and have no plans to lose more key players from their squad.

Having been made the club captain, the goalkeeper has stepped up his leadership of the side as well as forging a strong relationship with the supporters.
He also issued a warning to any teammates considering their futures at Palace, telling them to be “very careful” and to focus on performing this season.
