Revealed: This is how many games Ange Postecoglou is from Nottingham Forest sack
Evangelos Marinakis has yet to make up his mind on the future of Ange Postecoglou as the boss is still fighting to save his job at the City Ground.
Since he was brought in to replace Nuno Espirito Santo, Postecoglou has failed to win any of his first seven games in charge and is now at serious risk of the sack.
Forest fans have called for Postecoglou’s head, with large sections of the crowd singing “sacked in the morning” during their defeat to Midtjylland.
Football Insider revealed on 6 October that Postecoglou will be given time by Nottingham Forest’s hierarchy, who are hopeful he can turn things around.
However, after talks have been held between the manager and owner during the international break, his future is no more clear, with alternatives being assessed.

Ange Postecoglou faces ‘huge’ Chelsea clash amid sack threat
Football Insider revealed on 11 October that Marinakis expects Postecoglou to start winning games and their form must turn if he wants to save his job.
The first obstacle for the manager is Forest’s clash with Chelsea at the City Ground on 18 October, which has been billed as a “huge” game with regard to his future.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the boss is expected to turn around their form, with the Chelsea game his first opportunity to prove things are heading in the right direction despite a slow start.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “Yeah, he definitely needs to start winning games. He knows that himself more than anybody.
“Football management is a cut-throat business, you need results as a manager and the owners and fans demand immediate success, there isn’t much patience.
“He’s got a huge game against Chelsea after the international break. He could really do with a big performance and a victory would be huge for him in that respect.
“It does look like he is going to get a stay of execution in this current international break. Obviously there’s due to be talks between Postecoglou and Marinakis.

“It does seem that he will be given at least a few more games to try and turn things around at Forest.
“Postecoglou will be hoping this time on the training pitch will allow him to get his ideas across and Forest can soon turn that corner, starting with Chelsea in the first game after the international break.”
Postecoglou is prepared to fight for his job and came out swinging following the defeat to Newcastle, insisting he is not afraid of the pressure on his position.
Nottingham Forest eye Rafael Benitez and Sean Dyche
The search for a new manager is ongoing behind the scenes despite Postecoglou being expected to remain in charge, with Sean Dyche one name in their list.
Football Insider revealed on 11 October that Nottingham Forest are interested in Rafa Benitez becoming their next manager should Postecoglou leave.
However, Benitez has opened talks with Panathinaikos this weekend in a move which could force Forest to search elsewhere in their ambitions to land a new manager.

Concerns about Postecoglou’s style of play and the disastrous transition from Nuno means Forest could be tempted to make another change.
Both Dyche and Benitez would represent a shift back to a more pragmatic approach which brought Forest their success under Nuno last season.
