‘Revolving door’ – Rodgers drops massive Celtic transfer hint ahead of January
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has dropped a huge hint that there could be a lot of transfer movement in the East End of Glasgow in January.
The Northern Irishman was quoted by Superscoreboard’s Twitter account, claiming that there could be players moving both in and out of Celtic Park and was indirectly quoted as saying that the Hoops “definitely want to strengthen” and “some players may be leaving”.
The need for new players was shown in the display against Rangers, in which a ragged Celtic side were grateful to Craig Gordon for some fine saves in the second-half, that kept the game goal-less.
Scott Sinclair was guilty of missing a dreadful chance in the first-half in a game that will not live long in the memory.

The comments from Rodgers are particularly interesting as they come on the back of a poor performance from a Hoops side that looked jaded and in need of freshening up. All the matches they have played since July seemed to have finally caught up with them. The future of Moussa Dembele will presumably be decided soon as the player looked like he was playing within himself against Rangers amidst the constant speculation surrounding his future. Marvin Compper has already been signed and supporters will be encouraged to hear that the manager realises that more players need to come in during January.
