Richarlison backed for new Tottenham role amid ‘incredible’ claim – pundit
Richarlison can fill the void left by Harry Kane at Tottenham.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former West Ham striker Frank McAvennie urged Ange Postecoglou to give Richarlison the chance to prove himself up front.
Spurs lost Kane to Bayern Munich earlier this summer after almost 20 years with the London club.

Richarlison joined the Londoners last summer but struggled to make an impact on the side in a difficult first season.
This term, the Brazilian has made five appearances for Postecoglou’s side so far this season and has started for of those outings.
The forward was a substitute in Saturday’s (2 September) 5-2 win over Burnley and Heung-min Son for the final 20 minutes of the match.
Richarlison was deployed up front in last week’s (29 August) FA Cup clash against Fulham and scored his side’s only goal of the game.
But it wasn’t enough to see them through to the next round after Micky van de Ven’s early own goal and the Lilywhites were eliminated after a 5-3 defeat on penalties.
McAvennie insisted the Brazil international deserves more of a chance up front.
“I like Richarlison and I think Ange will have a look at him and see if he can fit in,” he told Football Insider.
“The team have been totally different in the last five matches than what they have been under different managers. The possession that they have got in their own half is incredible.

“They have got a Brazilian up the top who can hold the ball, why would you not want to play that or at least give him a chance.
“I think the way Tottenham are playing now they are going to get chances so I would not write off Richarlison.“
