Richarlison could quit Tottenham for ‘huge’ fee after update from Spain – expert

Richarlison could leave Tottenham for a “huge” fee.

That’s according to former Spurs right-back Alan Hutton, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about transfer interest in the 25-year-old.

The Brazilian only joined the Lilywhites in the summer but after impressing at the World Cup some of Europe’s elite are turning their attention to the striker.

According to Spanish outlet Defensa Central (29 November), Real Madrid are interested in a move for Richarlison and view him as a potential long-term replacement for Karim Benzema.

Hutton insisted it would take a “huge” fee to convince Spurs to sell the striker.

It just shows you how amazing the World Cup can be,” he told Football Insider.

You score a few goals, have a few good games and then you never know what it could lead to. This is a guy who was not top form at Tottenham, he was first off the bench in a lot of games.

We all knew he was a fantastic player. He has gone to the World Cup and absolutely shined. He is the leader for that team at the moment.

Of course there is going to be teams watching his performances, knowing what he is capable of. So it does not surprise me.

Tottenham will want to hold on to him. They put a lot of money into the deal so they will want to keep him for the future. They are building something for the future.

Unless it is a huge amount of money to take him away from there, I am not sure it will happen.
