Roberto Firmino: Pundit shares ‘frightening’ verdict after Liverpool source update
Roberto Firmino just proved why he should be handed a new Liverpool contract.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 30-year-old’s future.
As revealed by Football Insider last Saturday (12 February), Liverpool are set to offer Firmino a contract extension ahead of the summer.

A Reds source told this site Jurgen Klopp believes the Brazilian still has a big part to play at Anfield despite his reduced game time this season.
Firmino scored Liverpool’s first in a 2-0 win over Inter Milan on Wednesday (16 February).
Kenny insists the attacker is still the man for the big occasion after helping his side to a vital win in Europe.
“He always pops up with the big goal,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I know he isn’t in the best form but he’s still a really important player for Liverpool.
“Klopp wouldn’t keep playing him if he didn’t offer anything. Keeping him on keeps depth in the attack.
“The options Liverpool have no are frightening. There are five amazing players there.
“He’s big for Liverpool and they want to fight on all fronts so you need depth in a position like that.
“Listen, he’s a brilliant player and I don’t think anyone will complain if he signs a new deal.”

Firmino has made 24 appearances in all competitions this season.
However, he hasn’t scored in the league since he bagged a hat-trick against Watford on 16 October.
