Pundit digs at Reguilon as footage of Tottenham touchline spat emerges

Paul Robinson has claimed manager Nuno Espirito Santo is “not getting the best” from the Tottenham players.

The former Spurs goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted “too many” Lilywhites stars are “not playing well enough” under the 47-year-old.

As reported by Football.london (October 25th), Nuno and Sergio Reguilon engaged in a lengthy discussion on the touchline after the Spaniard was subbed off against West Ham.

The left-back, 24, relinquished possession on the edge of his own box in the build-up to West Ham’s winner.

Espirito Santo also came under fire during his post-match press conference for making his first substitution just six minutes from full-time.

However, Nuno insisted the game was “under control”.

He claimed he made the substitutions when they were necessary.

Six-time Spain international Reguilon has started every league game under the Portuguese manager this season.

Robinson insisted the left-back is just one player in a Tottenham side underperforming under Nuno.

“Reguilon is having a dip in form but he’s part of a team who aren’t playing well,” he told Football Insider.

“There are too many players at Tottenham who aren’t playing well enough.

“Their performances have been below par. The manager is not getting the best from the eleven players on the pitch.”
